About Us

At Wagga Pilgrim Uniting Church, we celebrate that God has made us all different, in age, gender, culture, ethnicity, stage in the journey, background, temperament and beliefs.  We believe that God has given us these gifts of difference to enable us to shape – together – an authentic, caring, and courageous faith community, within and beyond the church building.

We worship on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people.

We seek to be a safe and welcoming sanctuary and to value all generations, all cultures and justice for all, particularly those on the margins of our society.

We gather to creatively explore our faith together.

We believe that each person has a story that is part of a larger story that we remember through Scripture, the Lord’s Supper and Baptism, and the church’s seasons.

We are simply a group of people journeying together in God’s intimate, compassionate, all-embracing love through all of the ups and downs that life brings our way. As Jesus kept inviting others in, we believe that we can always make the circle wider – that there is room for all around God’s table.

We would love to journey with you so that life can be what God means it to be – loving, purposeful, joyful, and eternal.

We welcome you, whether you are a person of faith, no faith, or you just have questions.

Wagga Pilgrim Uniting Church is in Wiradjuri Country, near the life sustaining Murrumbidgee River. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, who were entrusted by the Creator to care for the land and the rivers through countless generations.

We recognise that the sovereignty of these lands has never been ceded. We pay our respect to Wiradjuri Elders past and present.

We acknowledge the actions of colonisation committed in these lands and their ongoing impact. We dedicate ourselves to seeing, listening and learning, as we work towards justice and reconciliation together.
